How can we help?
What type of repairs?
Computer is Not Turning On (Not Powering Up)
Computer may not be turning on for a number of reasons:
it could a faulty power cable, faulty electrical power socket or even a faulty power supply unit (PSU).
Have you tried hard resetting your computer by pressing and holding ON\OFF Switch for 5 seconds and finally have you tried resetting CMOS battery on the motherboard?
Computer is Not Booting Up
If your computer is not loading properly or Windows is not starting up
that may be caused by a corrupt Windows Operating System, Malfunctioning Hardware Devices
or recently installed 3rd Party Software.
Have you tried unplugging peripheral devices such as USB drives, Card Readers, SD Cards and other newly connected hardware? Have you also tried hard resetting your computer by pressing and holding ON\OFF switch for 5 seconds?
Computer is Running Very Slowly or Freezing
If your computer takes ages to start up, simplest tasks take a while to complete
or even occassionally freezing that could be caused by number of factors including:
failing or ageing computer hardware, low storage space on the hard disk drive (HDD)
and corrupt Windows Operating System.
Have you tried restarting the computer and uninstalling some of the recently installed software in case that is slowing down your PC?
Computer is Making Noises
Sometimes you may hear strange background noises coming from your computer.
These may be caused by worn out ball bearings on internal cooling fans. Typically desktop computer has CPU Heatsink Fan that cools down main processor (CPU) and Power Supply Unit (PSU) fan. Some computers also have Exhaust Fans and Graphics Cards may have their own cooling fans.
If you ever hear sharp matallic noises those are much more serious and may indicate a faulty Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and you should immediately backup your important data.
Computer is Overheating
Whilst overheating is much more common with laptops and portable computers, it still
happens to desktop and All-In-One computers.
Typical symptoms of overheating include: noisier cooling fans that are running at faster speeds, intermittent crashes and shutdowns to avoid any damage to computer components and in many cases much slower computer performance.
Overheating is usually caused by poor cooling and ventilation inside the computer.
Computer Running out of Storage Space
Running out of storage space is too common and it's not necessarily a fault. You've been saving your photographs, favourite movies and
music and now you've reached the maximum computer capacity and have no more space left.
There are many options: you should be slowly migrating to the cloud and storing important documents there, you can move some of the data onto another parition or hard drive on your computer, you can also move your data onto external portable USB hard drive to free up space and finally just delete the content that you no longer need.
Liquid Spillage Repairs
If you spilt some water in your computer you must immediately switch it off to avoid electricution.
It's best not to try to move the computer or turn it side-ways as water could refress to other parts of the machine.
Typically desktop computers in particular that are tower-based are well protected from the damage. However, we will inspect and ensure that no water or other liquid has gone to motherboard or Power Supply Unit (PSU).
